Transfers of business
Certain businesses of Scottish Provident Limited and Scottish Mutual Assurance Limited were transferred to Phoenix Life Limited, following the approval of the United Kingdom High Court on 30 January 2009. The transfer took effect on 6 February 2009.

Our regulator, the Financial Services Authority (FSA) also reviewed our plans and an Independent Expert was selected to review the proposals to ensure the protection of all policyholders involved in the transfers.
