Phoenix Life Limited - SAL With-Profits Fund


These guides are for with-profits policies that transferred from Phoenix & London Assurance Limited to the Phoenix Life Limited SAL With-Profits Fund on 21 February 2011. The tables below will help you find the guide that applies to your policy. If you have any difficulties in deciding which guide(s) you should read, please contact us.

Type of Policy How Can I Tell?
Traditional with-profits policy.
  • If you have a traditional with-profits endowment or whole of life policy (that is one that does not invest in units) which started in 1994 or earlier and was purchased from Sun Alliance.
  • If you have a with-profits traditional pensions policy (that is one that does not invest in units) which started in 1994 or earlier and was purchased from Sun Alliance.
  • If you have a regular savings policy called "Moneymaker” which started with Sun Alliance up to 1996 or with Royal and SunAlliance after that date.

 

Type of Policy How Can I Tell?
Unitised with-profits group pension policy

Final salary pension schemes which had a Growth Fund policy with Phoenix Assurance Limited prior to 1996, or a Retirement Plan policy issued by Sun Alliance prior to 1996 and which was subsequently converted to a Group UWP Pension investment.

 

Type of Policy How Can I Tell?
Unitised with-profits policy (other than group pension policy described above)
  • If you have a Unitised With-profits bond started with Sun Alliance or Royal and SunAlliance between June 1996 and December 1998 inclusive.
  • If you have a unit-linked pensions policy which started between 1995 and 2001 with Sun Alliance or Royal and SunAlliance (but not "Living Pensions" or "Pensions Solutions" policies).
  • If you have a unit-linked "Universal Protection Plan" or "Regular Savings Plan" which can invest in with-profits units which started in 1995 or later with Sun Alliance or Royal and SunAlliance.
