How we manage the Phoenix & London Assurance With Profits Fund

We’ve produced a document to let you know the principles of how we manage the Phoenix & London Assurance Limited's With Profits Fund. It also explains:

• how we put our principles into practice;
• how we invest your money in our with profits policies; and
• how we add assets to your policy.

This document is called the Principles and Practices of Financial Management (PPFM) and shows how the with profits policies are currently managed. There are two versions of the PPFM; a detailed guide and a more straightforward one, called How we managed the Phoenix & London Assurance Limited With Profits fund.

The principles were amended on 1 January 2010 to reflect the way the fund will be managed in the future following the change. These changes allow us to have different bonus rates and to implement the new investment strategy for policies included in the change.
